Two editions of this workshop–sponsored by the MPC project and led by Dana Center facilitators–were offered in October 2017 (one for western Washington and one for Eastern Washington). The overall purpose of the workshop was to support campus teams in beginning and/or deepening their work to develop and implement math pathways at scale at their institutions. The highly interactive day-long workshop included time for campus team planning so that participating teams (representing 22 community and technical colleges along with Central Washington and Eastern Washington universities) were able to leave with specific action steps for launching new efforts or expanding/refining current work. Participating teams:
- Identified key issues and activities in the process of implementing math pathways
- Drafted or refined their action plans for implementing math pathways at scale along with a campus communications plan for the work
- Learned more about state and national resources related to math pathways and how local work can utilize and build on those efforts
